The United Benefice of St Oswald Malpas, St John Threapwood and Holy Trinity Bickerton

Dear All,

I write as we prepare to enter another lockdown and so The Revd Helen Molesworth and our wardens, Beverley Dobson, Angela Latham and Colin Capewell  join me in sending you all our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We are not allowed under lockdown rules to gather for worship but we are allowed to continue to open church for private prayer so St Oswald’s Malpas will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am till 2pm and on Sundays from 2pm till 4pm.

There is a very special video coming out this weekend for Remembrance and Armistice Day. This is our way as communities in this area of keeping Remembrance safely during this very sad time with wreaths laid on the film representing all sections of our communities and so there will be no services this year and no parade through Malpas and no gathering at War Memorials. Art work and thoughts from the children at Malpas Alport School will be up in St Oswald’s.  Please do be in contact if we can help in any way and we will do our very best to assist you and support you.

May God bless us all

The Revd Canon Ian Davenport, Rector.
