“On Tuesday 21st June, St Oswald’s Church Malpas was pleased to welcome The Rt Revd Julie Conalty, The Bishop of Birkenhead, to preside over the Induction of the Reverend Doctor Janine Arnott as our new Rector of the Benefice. Following the formal installation, the Rector was presented to the congregation by the Bishop and welcomed to the Deanery by the Rural Dean, followed by representatives of the local community, including Church Wardens of the Benefice of St Oswald’s Malpas, St John’s Threapwood and Holy Trinity Bickerton, Church House, Chester Cathedral, Mothers Union, Malpas Parish Council, Malpas Flower Club, Bickerton C of E Primary School and Friends of St Oswald’s. The Welcome was followed by Philip Stopford’s wonderful anthem “Jubilate”, sung magnificently by St Oswald’s Church Choir. The service was followed by a lovely social hour with refreshments galore. Janine has arrived and everyone is very much looking forward to her ministry!”
